Carbon Nanotubes


 This is not a model in the molymod range, but one  I made to shown how graphene can be rolled up into a carbon nanotube. It gave the students much to discuss about new materials and composite materials. Making bullet resistant material was a fun topic to look at these materials.

Pasco Spectrometer

There are many favourite practicals, but seeing the spectrum of light from different glowing chemicals is certainly one of them. The @pasco.scientific spectrometer gives an insight into an unseen world around us.

Templates

 ​Templates are sometimes useful for science and maths. This one helps with the 3D drawings, especially of prisms, although not so good for life like diagrams. Others help get better drawing of science equipment.

Look into my eyes


 Using a close up camera to see how the iris works and using the @pasco human demo eye to see how it works in practice by putting in an iris in the eye. It is also useful to use a camera lens to show the camera T-stops in action.

3 Liquids


Three different liquids. All looked like water but they were not what the students expected. I was surprised how many students naturally assumed a clear liquid would be water.
