small quadrat

This is the time of year when many teachers reach the end of the course and find they need to use the quadrants. Few plants are around, and the weather is poor. I use photographs from the camera quadrant and get the students to analyse these.
I have a series of transects looking at different environments and various random samples from different types of fields and meadows. The students can go outside and try the techniques but they can all analyse the same data.
