Wires and components

GCSE Physics Tuition: The students are moving away from circuit diagrams to building circuits with wires and components. This is completely different from the circuit diagram, and although harder to create, it is important to learn the difference between theory and practice.

Bacteria

GCSE Biology Tuition: We want to teach the students about bacteria, but they have never seen them. They look at a cheek cell for the first time and are amazed at what a cell is, but look close, and some of those dots are bacteria—now they get a better idea of scale and of what life is.

Elastic Collisions

In this video, we examine elastic collisions using the PASCO scientific smartcarts and the Capstone software to graph what happens when two carts collide.

Code-Node

GCSE Physics Tuition: Programming the @pascoscientific code node to become the students' own smartcard so that the students understand the tools they are using rather than just grabbing and using something without understanding what it is, what it does, and, of course, how it works.

Doppler Rocket

Demonstrating the Doppler effect with the @pascoscientific Doppler Rocket: As the rocket moves away, students can hear the pitch drop (red s...
