Extracting DNA
A-level Biology in the Holidays. Extracting DNA from different fruits, such as in the picture of strawberries. Once extracted, the DNA can be used for molecular analyses, including PCR, electrophoresis, sequencing, fingerprinting and cloning.

Molecular Weight Determination
A-Level Chemistry in the Holidays. We are getting ahead of the A-Level syllabus by starting early. We are determining the Molecular Weight of a volatile liquid by placing a known volume into a heated syringe at 100C.
