weather sensor
I'm using the @pascoscientific weather sensor to gather weather data from ordinary days so the students can better understand averages, maxima and minima from a large dataset. Too often, students have to find an average of three or four items and we can use tools like Capstone to help.

complex numbers exponential form
Complex numbers in exponential form—Teaching complex numbers isn't complicated, but it can be hard to get your mind to think about them. Seeing numbers in graphic form helps considerably here.

Frictionless Hover balls
I'm using frictionless hover balls to help explain collisions. They are great when introducing collisions at angles and, when coupled with some sensors to show their angle and speed, invaluable for demonstrating the conservation of momentum.

microscope stage calibration slide
Using a microscope stage calibration slide to work out the measurements in the eyepiece graticule. Students seem to find it a hard concept to look at a ruler with an eyepiece graticule, then remove the slide, replace it with the subject, and be able to measure it.

Set up for molten electrolysis
Setting up ready to do electrolysis of a molten substance. Most of these are too dangerous to do in the lab and require a fume cupboard to do safely.

New Camera Boat
An all-electric Ocean Green Whaly 455 is undergoing trials on the River Thames, ready to be equipped as a Camera Boat. The boat is virtually silent, apart from the noise of the prop pushing the water.
Bluetooth
Disaster struck. Some of my machines suddenly wouldn't connect the Bluetooth devices to @pascoscientific Capstone. The Sensors were fine, but the Bluetooth suddenly died on two machines. Windows pretended it was working. The new Bluetooth dongles are in, and they are working as before.
