Heating effect of electricity
#Physics Teaching about electrical circuits and resistance and heating. Setting iron wool on fire with only a few volts. The students wondered why I wouldn't hold the wool in my hands until they saw this. #iteachphysics #Science #STEM

Parallelogram of Forces
Teaching #Physics online looking at the parallelogram of forces using a force board. Even though the students are back at school many are still forced to isolate or have Covid and then I need to teach them online. #iteachphysics #Science #STEM

Centre of Mass
#Physics Using and inclined plane, a phone inclinometer and some masses with foam to raise the mass higher with adding any mass lower down to look at the effect of centre of mass, angle and the tipping point. Fun Experiment #iteachphysics #Science #STEM With the mass higher up the object falls over at a lower angle. With a shorter piece of foam the centre of mass is lower and the angle is much higher before the object falls.
