Aseptic Technique
Teaching A level #microbiology My student had to made up the Nutrient broth and make all the Agar plates before she could start the experiment. Much of this is learning aseptic technique. Hopefully all her plates will be clean to start the expt tomorrow. #teaching

Working Model of Heart
Teaching GCSE Biology using a model heart to demonstrate the circulatory system. I find that only half filling with red liquid better shows the direction of the flow.

Resonance with Tuning Forks
Two identical tuning forks, one resonance box and a ping pong ball to show how the second tuning fork picks up the sound from the first. #iteachphysics Having fun with physics doing some practice before the lessons.

Darkbox
A level/GCSE #Physics Using a Lightbox as a Darkbox for looking a optics experiments in the lit classroom. Using here a @pascoscientific light source and a Prism to split up light. #iteachphysics @ChatPhysics

Refraction
A level/GCSE #Physics Refraction an alternative way- works well on a visualiser #iteachphysics @ChatPhysics Good as an intro along with the glass of water and the arrow changing direction. This introduces refraction of different liquids.

More Resistivity
Using the @pascoscientific from @SciChemEdu wireless motion sensor for distance and the voltage/current sensor for the resistance and plotting the resistance against distance for A level #physics prep #iteachphysics Got to see if the experiment works.
